GENEALOGY
The Genealogy group meets on the second Thursday of each month in the afternoon. Meetings usually take place in members’ houses. We help each other to do the detective work in following our family trees, census and parish records, archives such as local newspapers or professional associations, service records, family information from orphanages.
Fascinating family histories are emerging as too is interesting social history.
Members will have their own line of interest and investigation but group members will exchange information and advice so that others can benefit from their experiences.
Meetings are informal and there is no set course, so join in as and when you want to.
