Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo are two neighbouring villages in the South Hams of Devon, just along the coast from Plymouth. Dating back to Saxon England around 847AD , the two villages are situated on opposite sides of Newton Creek, which is the last, and largest creek off the River Yealm before the mouth of the river joins the English Channel.
Bordering the English Channel to the south and south west, Newton Ferrers has around 740 homes, Noss Mayo around 290 homes with another 70 in the rural areas.
